This section does not mirror France's warning feed. We have not yet checked the issuer's reuse terms, so we show an editorial summary and link to the official warnings instead. That is our choice, not a statement about the issuer's licence. See methodology.

Warning levels in France

The issuer's own labels, with its description summarised in English. No fixed mapping. A national colour or rating does not imply a CAP severity. Each warning carries the CAP value its issuer assigned, and this section copies that value per warning instead of inferring it from the colour.

LevelWhat it meansWhat to do
Vigilance jaunePotentially dangerous local or seasonal conditions can affect exposed activities.Stay attentive, particularly during weather-sensitive activities.
Vigilance orangeDangerous high-intensity weather calls for heightened vigilance.Keep informed and follow the authorities’ safety guidance.
Vigilance rougeExceptionally intense dangerous weather calls for maximum vigilance.Follow official safety directions and regularly check developments.

Only the levels whose guidance this section has checked against the issuer's own page are listed. The issuer's scale may have others, and its page is the complete reference.
